Sweet story, a joy to read

“Abby’s Tale” is such an enjoyable read. The story is told from the point of view of Abby, a spirited horse with an attitude that makes her chances for adoption questionable. Though it is intended for middle-grade readers, it still manages to tug at the heartstrings of adult readers.

As someone who doesn’t own horses but harbors a love for them, I found myself surprisingly moved by Abby’s tale.

The author’s ability to convey the horse’s emotions and thoughts creates a strong connection between the reader and Abby, making the story relatable and engaging. I also loved the photos. They really brought the story to life.

I gave this book to a ten year old girl and her mother who love horses. They read and enjoyed it together, saying how lovely it was to read from the horse’s prospective. It’s delightful. This would be a good book to put in schools and could be used in PSHE lessons to teach about animal welfare.

Abby’s tale is a well written and a very easy read. Enjoyable for all ages. As a horse lover myself and volunteer on a horse rescue this book really hit home. Told from the horse’s perspective is brilliant. It’s simply a must read for all! Loved it!
